Transport networks are rarely built from a single vendor. Growth, acquisitions, and best-of-breed procurement leave most teams managing equipment from many suppliers - each with its own element manager, its own CLI, and its own idea of how faults should be reported. The operational cost is not the hardware; it is correlating what all of it is doing at once. EvoNET removes that fragmentation. It discovers equipment automatically from defined IP pools, identifies each device's type and vendor, and places it in a hierarchical tree by region, site, or your own criteria. From that single inventory it drives the full lifecycle - polling, remote configuration, backup, firmware, and service provisioning - the same way across every supported vendor, through a flexible driver model with adapters for Nokia, Infinera, Eltex, and more. Fault handling is where a multi-vendor NMS earns its place. EvoNET collects events over SNMP Traps, Syslog, and NETCONF, guards itself with built-in Storm Control, and passes everything through an intelligent Fault Management Module that correlates alarms, suppresses duplicates and flapping, and classifies by severity - then notifies the right staff by email according to rules you define.

Multi-Protocol Collection with Storm Control

Ingests events over SNMP Traps, Syslog (UDP/TCP/TLS), and NETCONF. Built-in Storm Control automatically blocks sources that exceed configured thresholds, so a single misbehaving device cannot overwhelm the operations centre.

Fault Management Module (FMS)

Configurable correlation rules, a dictionary of user-defined Alarm IDs, and duplicate/flap detection. Alarms are classified by severity and worked through an Acknowledge / Unacknowledge / Clear / Comment workflow in real-time Active and Historical Alarms tables.

Notification & Escalation

Staff are alerted by email over SMTP with SSL, TLS, or STARTTLS. Mailing rules are customisable by event type and equipment group, so the right teams see the right faults — and only the faults that concern them.
